'You talk too much': Austin Rivers hits back hard at Draymond Green

Austin Rivers the former NBA lottery pick and current NBC Sports analyst posted a three-minute video Tuesday directly responding to Draymond Green, and it went wide fast.

The dispute goes back to Green’s comments on The Draymond Green Show, where the Warriors forward said Steve Kerr had “hindered” his offensive development and had not drawn a play for him since 2016. Rivers called that “ridiculous” on The Dan Patrick Show. Green retaliated on his podcast, mocking Rivers for being “on his second act” while Green is “still on act one,” and pulling Doc Rivers into it.

That is when Rivers posted the video. He acknowledged Green’s Hall of Fame trajectory upfront, then turned everything else around.

“Draymond, you are the luckiest basketball player I think I’ve ever seen. You were drafted to a franchise with a Hall of Fame front office, Bob Myers. Hall of Fame coach Steve Kerr. The greatest shooter of all time and perhaps a top five player of all time, Steph Curry,” Rivers said.

He kept going.

“Not to mention one of the most lethal scorers of all time and arguably a top 10 player of all time, Kevin Durant. The same guy you chased off because of this, your mouth. You talk too much,” Rivers added.

Rivers also addressed Green’s offensive role without holding back.

“There are hours and hours of film of just you being left wide open. There are clips of you getting a rebound and just driving in a straight line and getting a wide-open layup ’cause everyone’s fanning out to guard the actual talent on the team,” he said.
